Welcome to the Wyckoff Schools Construction News
The Wyckoff School District Construction Project started at the Eisenhower School during the spring of 2006. The entire project, including renovations and new additions, is anticipated to be completed by the end of the fall 2007. Most of the renovation work to existing space is being completed during the summer of 2006. Work on new spaces will begin during the summer of 2006 and continue through the fall of 2007.
Coolidge Elementary School
-
- Site excavation of the building pad and footings are complete.
- Footings and column piers are remediated of unsuitable soils and will be installed shortly. Underground utilities, stone base and the concrete slab will be installed after the foundation walls are backfilled.
- Structural steel has been fabricated and is stored on site on trailers. The steel will be erected once the concrete slab, concrete column piers are poured and the anchor bolts are set.
- The storm water retaining seepage pits and site storm water drainage piping are complete.
Eisenhower Middle School
-
- All structural steel elements have been erected, plumbed and inspected.
- Exterior concrete masonry unit walls with brick veneer are 98% complete. A few small areas remained to be wrapped up. The interior CMU walls are complete and have the first coat of paint.
- The aluminum and glass panel walls are currently being installed.
- Hot water supply and return, plumbing, electrical, domestic water, fire sprinkler systems, storm drainage and sanitary sewer lines are complete in the rear and side additions. The contractors continue to work on the utilities in the front addition.
- The sanitary sewer system across the front of the school to the pumping station in the rear is 75% complete.
- Ceiling grids, gypsum board soffits and interior finishes are currently being installed.
Lincoln Elementary School
-
- Footings, foundation walls and all underground utilities of the Multi Purpose Room and classroom addition are complete. Structural steel and metal decking for both additions are installed, plumbed and inspected. RTU curbs and roof blocking are all installed in preparation of the roof installation.
- The storm water retaining seepage pits are installed and piped to the building.
- The exterior and interior concrete masonry walls of the Multi Purpose Room addition are approximately 75% complete. Installation of the brick veneer has commenced.
Sicomac Elementary School
-
- Structural steel and metal decking are installed, plumbed and inspected for the front addition. RTU curbs and roof blocking are all installed in preparation of the roof installation. Steel for the rear addition has been fabricated and is being held in storage.
- Footings at the rear Multi Purpose Room addition are being remediated and will be installed shortly.
- The storm water retaining seepage pits are complete.
- The concrete floor slab is anticipated to be installed by the end of the week.
- The roofing is anticipated to start installation at the beginning of next week.
Washington Elementary School
-
- The soil at the remaining footings and grade beams has been remediated and the concrete has been poured. The anchor bolts and leveling plates are currently being grouted in preparation for the structural steel erection.
- The underground utilities are almost complete, with a few lines remaining to be installed.
- The structural steel has been fabricated and is being stored off-site.
- The storm water piping modifications on the site have been completed.
