Welcome to the website of Calvin Coolidge School! We are a school that is committed to academic excellence and are proud of the warm and caring environment we provide for our children. I hope you enjoy learning about our wonderful school and seeing all of the great accomplishments of our students.

At Coolidge School we care about PRIDE! Using the letters in the words COUGAR PRIDE, staff and parents have identified important values that we believe are important for every child. These values are caring, organization, understanding, generosity, acceptance, respect, patience, responsibility, integrity, determination, and excellence. Through daily lessons and discussions all teachers reinforce these values. Students strive to demonstrate COUGAR PRIDE in everything they do while at school.

We are proud of our dedicated and talented staff of professionals at Coolidge School. Teachers regularly participate in strong in-service programs to improve instructional skills in the areas of technology integration, reading and writing, differentiated instruction, bullying prevention, problem based learning, and much more. Furthermore, a high percentage of our teachers hold at least one master’s degree. Our full-time math and reading specialists provide small-group instruction and provide added support for students with individualized needs. Our guidance counselor presents an ongoing developmental guidance program that addresses various needs at different grade levels. Lastly, our computer specialist works collaboratively with classroom teachers to infuse technology into regular classroom instruction.

There is a wide range of technology available for all students through our computer technology lab, media center technology lab, mobile iBook carts, and classroom computers. Utilizing a wireless network students and teachers are able to access the Internet or network server throughout the entire building. Teachers provide multimedia presentations to students through the use of LCD projectors and Smart Boards available throughout the building.

Outstanding parental involvement in our district wide PTO (which raises over $125,00 per year) affords us the opportunity to present many programs and events in our school. The schools use the money raised by the PTO for cultural assemblies, field trips, science and art days, book fairs, technology equipment, library/media equipment and books, campus beautification, and on-line computer informational programs.
