Instructional Goals
-
- General Policy Statement
-
- The Wyckoff Public School System is committed to academic
excellence.
-
- We believe that the educational program in the Wyckoff Public
Schools must be consistent with the expectations of the citizens
in the Wyckoff School District. We recognize the importance of the
school's responsibility to educate all students to be productive,
contributing members of society. We believe this can best be done
through the shared role of students, parents and educators in
providing an educational program designed to meet community goals
and objectives.
-
- We believe that the public schools exist to educate every
child. Each student has a responsibility in this process to be a
well motivated individual, interested in committing him/herself to
reach his/her greatest potential. Each student has a unique set of
needs which must be met and it is our purpose to help him/her
reach his/her full potential intellectually, socially and
emotionally.
-
- The goals and objectives below are designed to challenge each
student, teacher and parent to attain academic achievement and to
insure a feeling of self-esteem. We believe our role as a board is
to support the staff in their efforts to achieve within each child
a feeling of success and motivation towards future goals.
-
- This philosophy is the foundation upon which education of
students attending the Wyckoff Public Schools is based. Consistent
