Slow Dance the Remix
See the dew drops in the summer morn?
Smell the blossoms on the spring day?
Have you stopped to see the leaves change their colors at fall?
Or spin around and try to catch snowflakes on your tongue?
Please, as they say, stop and smell
the roses.
It's never good to do the fast dance
So slow down, because you're moving too fast.
So wake up in the morning ready for the new day
Because maybe other people now wish it would keep at bay.
We're lucky to be youth.
And to be able to do what we do
So, as they said don't, fast dance,
Slow it down, you're moving too fast.
Here we are, the dreamers
Dreaming of large parties and streamers.
Some of us don't dream at all
As if we've never heard of having a ball.
They study, study, study
Like only some know how to do
Yet they never take the time to think things through.
When you move like that, it's as if
you're diving into driving rain.
In math, I am one of them
Those study, study, girls
But I still try to take time
To smell those roses.
And as if a child,
I can go wild with the snow
And spring time craze.
So from now on, I'll take a vow of slowing my dance
Because I know I was moving too fast.
Take your time to dream
And see everything as you think it should be seen.
Because the roses need to be smelt
Like music needs to be felt.
So slow your dance
And don't move so fast.
