The Swing
Whenever I go on a swing, I feel like a bird flying free.
When I think about it,
a swing is like a time machine.
When I soar into the air, I see my future ahead of me,
when I feel the force of the swing pulling me back,
I see before me the past.
I see myself on the very same swing five years before,
rocking back and forth.
When gravity pulls me back down,
I am not fully into the air yet,
I see my present.
When I see this time pass before me,
it is time that I can hear, see, and touch.
When ever I'm on a swing I feel like a bird...
flying through time.
