Random Things

I once met a random man named Mike
This is what one of his typical conversations would be like:
"One time I lost my shoe
Tracey looks like Nancy Drew
Katie has blond hair
There's a jacket I want to wear
There's a Picasso on the wall
Someone ate a popcorn ball
Miss L. calls everyone 'Curly Sue'
Sometimes cows DO say 'moo'
I have a dog, a fish, and a bunny
I have a joke book, but it's not that funny
I saw a worm in the dirt
I spilled some juice on my shirt
I once dreamed that I flew
I planted a banana, but it never grew
I had a donut covered in powder
Do you like New England Clam Chowder?
Did you know I go to middle school?
In the summer I swim in my pool
In autumn leaves fall down
I'm not afraid of any clown
Saturday is my favorite day of the week
The top of a mountain is called a peak
I had a sandwich with PB&J
Diana pushed me off a chair and I said, 'Hey'
Tie-Dye shirts are fun to make
My favorite dessert is chocolate cake
Pogo sticks make you hop
OOOOH! I love soda pop
I live by a castle with two towers."
This conversation could go on for hours
But I really should stop Mike now
He will probably take a great big bow!
Me and My Pogo Stick

Me and my pogo stick jump all around
We jump in the air
And then back on the ground
Over the mountain
And into the sea
What a grand adventure for my pogo and me
We hopped through the school yard
And onto a bus
What a grand adventure for us
Through the park
And down the slide
Across the monkey bars
And on to the swing
Me and my pogo stick were about to take wing
We flew through the sky
Like birds without wings
So crooked and slow
When we stopped flying we said, "UH-OH."
We fell to the ground with such a big splatter
Beneath me I'm afraid to say my pogo had shattered
I was so upset that my pogo couldn't jump
Just then beneath me I felt a big BUMP
Oh, my pogo had come back to life
I yelled with delight..hooray and whoopee
And we hopped away happily
My pogo and me
