Under My Bed
By Mary

Under my bed there's a basketball,
some clothes to spare
old games
and ewwww! my brother's underwear????

Christmas presents I never use
and an empty bag of Charleston Chews
an old box of makeup
WOW! I've been looking for that for years!

A Yankees hat, wow, it still fits
some odd painting form the 2nd grade
there's a pencil or two,
YEAH! I finally found my long lost shoe!!

Old purses and gloves,
Teddy bears, too
plenty of fun,
for just me and you!

Now you know what's secretly there
but please don't tell anyone
or you'll give them
quite a big SCARE!!!!

Snow Day
By Mary

I wake up one day
doing it my way,
heard my mom say
"There's no school today!"

I gazed outside,
My eyes became wide.
It was the perfect day
For the best sleigh ride!

I got dressed in all that big puff,
I'm tellin' ya to me it looked like I was double stuffed!
I just had the feeling
It was gonna be rough.

I stepped outside into the cold air,
it was like there was a little fair.
There were already pairs
of fighters there!

The players were picked,
snow was licked,
snow was kicked,
and the clock ticked.

GOOOOO!!!

The fight wouldn't stop
until we went to the top
of snow land.

We soon got bored
and almost went to the store.
But then we decided to
sled, of course!!

We had so much fun
until the day was done,
and then we had to go home,
once again.

School was tomorrow,
we all saw it coming.
We never want it to end.

Now That's What I Call Saturday!
By Mary

Saturday is a day for fun,
laughter
and play!
Today will be the ultimate Saturday!!
YAY!!

First, I'll sleep 'til 10 A.M.
It's cartoon time again.
Cereal is already gone.
Nickelodeon, here I come!!

Once I'm done, play time is here.
I think I'll call for some neighborhood cheer.
All the kids and I will join!!
For Tag and Manhunt, there's some fun here!

I am IT, watch out everyone.
Here I come, let's have some fun!
OH NO!! It's getting dark!
It's almost time to walk Mr. Spark!

Now, my Saturday is sadly through.
But don't worrythat isn't true!
One will come once again,
unfortunately, it's not until next weekend.
DARN!!

What Should I Do?
By Mary

There are many things that I can do
I just cannot decide which.
I could play a softball game
and that girl at bat, it's me who's gonna pitch.

Or clean out my room
but really I think I'll pass on that.
I'd rather walk my dog
and put on that ugly hat.

I could do something fun
like eat a pizza pie.
I might run out on the street
and say hi to everyone who passes by!

I could pretend I was a bear,
living out in the really cold air,
or that I am somewhere warm,
like at the city fair.

I really could paint my room
A blue, a green, or something on the purple side.
I could play a game of tag or two
but wait, why don't I hide for you!

Have any ideas of what I should do?
Give me a little help
and no, I don't wanna drink milk!
Don't say something stupid like "Go eat some kelp!"

Well, the day's almost gone,
I must be on my way.
I'll notify you when I'm bored again
so ta-ta for now. I'll see you again, okay??
