Spring Beauty
By Sarah

I look up and see that the clouds are gone
and the sun has taken their place.
Its fiery gaze shines upon us
and its warmth spreads on my face.
Flowers have been awakened from their deep sleep,
popping up from the ground.
I can feel the cool air, gently tossing my hair.
Happiness is all around.
The leaves in the trees tickle the sky
as chipmunks scurry for food.
The soft green grass soothes my skin
and puts me in a good mood.
The mother duck waddles along the pond
with her babies hurrying along.
In the nests above, there are the birds
happily singing their song.
I love these sights and sounds of spring beauty.
They'll all be treasured in my head.
I'll always remember spring and it's wonder,
even when it's time to go to bed.

Six Flags Poem
By Sarah

This year my birthday
won't be the same.
That'll just be like playing
the same old game.
It has to be big and great,
it has to be crazy,
it has to be like a wildflower,
not a boring little daisy.
It has to be the best memory ever
that I hold in my head.
I'll be thinking about it forever,
as I lie in my bed.
That's it! I've got it!
This'll be fun!
This birthday will be known as #1!
So jump in the car,
don't pack your bags.
Come on, everyone.
We're going to Six Flags!

Roaming Tigers
By Sarah

Tigers are one of the main parts that make up nature.
They are beautiful as can be.
They're not meant to be locked up in a cage with no exit.
They're born to run around free.
Tigers prance around like graceful doves
on rocky hills above.
When their babies are born, their eyes are caring
and filled with joy and love.
Their enemies are the terrible poachers,
trying to hunt them down.
But the tigers will never give in
and will never let themselves be found.
Tiger fur is as warm as pine wood fire
in the glorious fireplace.
You can't resist feeling tingly inside,
as you look at the adorable face.
So after you read this poem and think about
how tigers were meant to be,
I'm sure one day you'll become a tiger lover,
just like me.
