Who Are You?
By Tracey

Hello. Hi there. Who are you?
Are you from Spain or Timbucktu?
I am TAM from the U.S.A.
and it is baseball that I play.
What do you do for fun?
Do you like to skip and jump and run?
We could be best friends, you see,
Just the two of us, you and me.

The Dreidel Game
By Tracey

The dreidels are spinning
and grandpa is winning.

The snow is falling
and the gelt is calling.

The rising of the sun,
oh, look! I won!

Christmas
By Tracey

Christmas cookies rising fast
We're hungry so they surely won't last.

Carols ringing through the streets.
Some of them have whole new beats.

The smell of pine trees in the air.
There's a good feeling everywhere.

They've all turned on their Christmas lights.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

My Christmas List
By Tracey

On my Christmas list I wrote
"a puppy and a stylish tote,
some makeup and a baby cat,
a necklace and a baseball bat,
a robot and a novel, too
a jack-in-the-box and ballet shoes."
I sent this list to Santa Claus.
On Christmas I saw some prints of paws.
A puppy and a kitten were my gifts.
When my parents saw them, they were quite miffed.
I cannot wait for Christmas this year.
Santa Claus is coming here.
I'll finally get my ballet shoes.
Merry Christmas to all of you!

Friends
By Tracey

Everyone has a group of friends
People to hang out with after school ends.

Some are short and some are tall.
Some are quiet and some bounce off the walls.

Some are skinny and some are fat.
Some are modest and some think they're all that.

In one way friends are all the same.
They play with you and don't think you're lame.

Baseball
By Tracey

The pitcher pitches,
the batter bats.

We all wear jerseys
and baseball caps.

The pitcher pitches,
the fielder fields;
neither team
is about to yield.

The pitcher pitches,
the runners run.

The game is over.
Our team won.

Writer's Block
By Tracey

What to write? What to write?
Is what I ask myself tonight.

What to write? What to write?
Cats? No, that isn't right.

What to say? What to say?
Is what I ask myself today.

What to say? What to say?
Puppies? Yes, that's it. Hooray!
