Mr. De Mase's seventh grade TAP ( Talented Art Program) students recently completed a painting unit on Abstract Expressionism. Also called "Action Painting" and the New York School, Abstract Expressionism began in the late 1940's and continued into the 1950's . Jackson Pollack, most famous for his "drip" paintings, inspired many of the works represented in this gallery. The paintings are currently on display in the front entrance gallery of our school.
