Stained Glass Artistry Seventh grade students in Mr. DeMase's art class have created stained glass pictures using a special product called "Scratch-lite". This new material simulates the stained glass look to produce striking effects when attached to a window. This "Drawing with Light" technique achieves results that are both dramatic and luminous without the cut glass and leading used in traditional methods. Currently you can see a full display of the work in our school cafetorium.

Mona Lisa Transformations Students in Mr. Olejarz's Digital Imaging classes made drawings of the Mona Lisa and then transformed her into a whole new Mona.

TropicalTAP INTO ABSTRACTION Mr. De Mase's seventh grade TAP ( Talented Art Program) students recently completed a painting unit on Abstract Expressionism. Also called "Action Painting" and the New York School, Abstract Expressionism began in the late 1940's and continued into the 1950's . Jackson Pollack, most famous for his "drip" paintings, inspired many of the works represented in this gallery. The paintings are currently on display in the front entrance gallery of our school.

Animal Drawings Seventh grade students in Mr. De Mase's art classes have recently completed a lesson on drawing animals. Students were asked to find a color photograph of an animal and create a drawing based on the photograph. Preliminary sketches were made and skills sharpened for the final work of art. Shown here is a sampling of the work created by our talented seventh grade students.
