Team 4 @ Sandy Hook On Wednesday, June 9th, Team Four students traveled to Sandy Hook to participate in the New Jersey Marine Sciences Consortium program on Marsh and Ocean Environments. This is a full-day, guided outdoor field program that provided an introduction to the salt marsh and barrier beach environment.

Fiddler On The Roof Jr. This year's school play was a great success.

 

 

The Science Olympiad Team competed against the top 8 schools from the North, Central, and South Regional Qualifying rounds at Middlesex County College.

 

DCP_0611The Wake-a-thon - On Friday, March 19th, 45 members of the Student Council participated in Eisenhower's 3rd Annual Wake-a-thon. Students were "locked-in" the school from 8PM until 8AM Saturday morning with the task of staying up all night. For the wake-a-thon, students collected pledges from family and friends, which totaled over $6,400. This money will be donated to the charity Cherished Creations.

Mexican Tin Art based on Mayan and Aztec motifs Sixth grade students in Mr. De Mase's art classes have recently completed work in the ancient Mexican craft of tin art.These designs are based on the stamp motifs of ancient Mayan and Aztec civilizations.

Kiss the Goat, REACT Club Fundraiser Friday the 13th of February was a very lucky day for Madison(the goat) and the gang from re-act! The re-act club concluded it's "Kiss the Goat Contest" with several student nominated teachers kissing Madison, the goat on ETV!

Spirit Week @ Eisenhower Decades Day, (6th Grade is 60's, 7th -- 70's, 8th -- 80's)

 

Bake Sales @ Eisenhower - Throughout the year, Mrs. Avia, with the help of students and staff, has raised money through bake sales for various organizations. Paws to Love Adoptions and Homeless Tails were the recipients of February's sale.

 

 

DCP_6877Career Day @ Eisenhower This year's career day was a tremendous success. There were over forty speakers who presented their professions to students. Presentations were well received and found to be very informative. We greatly appreciate our speakers taking time from their day and participating in this special event.

 

 

Chariot of the Sun was presented by Young Audiences of New Jersey. Students were introduced to heroes, gods, and monsters of Greek mythology. With the help of a few students, the talented storyteller, Seth Reichgott, shared his favorite myths "Chariot of the Sun", "Pandora's Box", and "Odysseus and the Cyclops". The sixth grade enjoyed this assembly sponsored by the PTO.

Special African Drum Program for seventh graders DrumCafe is a group of musicians dedicated to sharing African drumming with audiences worldwide. They have troupes in South Africa, New York, and many other places. Their interactive performances are intended to bring the magic of drumming together to different audiences. In addition to being a cultural performance, the drummers emphasize how making music is all about working together. Eisenhower Halloween Doors - Homerooms decorated their doors for Halloween.

The Last Shells of Summer - Seventh grade students in Mr. DeMase's art classes have created watercolor paintings of shells. Students researched shells of the world on the internet and in books to select a favorite. After making several drawings of each shell, the students were taught various techniques of watercolor painting.
