On Wednesday, June 9th, Team Four
students traveled to Sandy Hook to participate in the New Jersey
Marine Sciences Consortium program on Marsh and Ocean Environments.
This is a full-day, guided outdoor field program that provided
an introduction to the salt marsh and barrier beach environment.
The program is divided into two parts a salt marsh exploration
and a beach hike. Students became involved in hands-on learning
activities at both sites including seining at the marsh and shell
collection and identification at the beach.
