Power of the Wind

Power of the Wind is funded by a an Environmental Education Grant from Public Service Gas and Electric.  The content of the project is the sole responsibility of the grant recipient.

Task 2

Recommendation for location of wind farms demonstrates understanding of criteria for efficient operation.

Recommendation for location of wind farms is supported by evidence. Recommendation needs support or evidence fails to support recommendation.

Task 3

Conclusion demonstrates an understanding of factors that contribute to or mitigate the problem. Demonstrates ability to evaluate claims and counterclaims to reach a reasonable conclusion. Does not present a conclusion based on evaluation of the evidence.

Task 4

Notes show preparation.  Pre-write completed. Prepares notes or highlights resource materials. Notes and/pr resources are incomplete.

Task 5

Writes five-paragraph editorial that addresses the outline.

Scores a 5-6 using the holistic scoring rubric.

Writes five-paragraph editorial.

Scores a 4-5 using the holistic scoring rubric.

Does not complete writing assignment or scores less than 4 using the holistic scoring rubric.
