LEMON SHARK

The Lemon Shark got its name from its deep yellow back. These sharks are command along the Southeast coast of the United States. The Lemon Shark is average 8-10 feet long. It eats mostly fish. These Sharks have a record of Shark attacks. This shark is found off Latin America, West Africa, and in the Gulf of Mexico

Blue Shark

The blue Shark is indigo in color. It has pointed fins, a pointed snout, and large eyes. Blue Sharks can be up to 12.5 feet long. The Blue Shark is a graceful swimmer. The Blue Shark eats mostly squid.It is dangerous and has attacked people. Blue Sharks migrate across the Atlantic Ocean following the Gulf Stream.

The Whale Shark

The Whale Shark is the biggest shark and fish. It is not a whale. It can be up to 45 feet long. The Whale Shark feeds on plankton, krill, and small fish. They live near the equator in the open seas. Whale Sharks are harmless.

The Nurse Shark

The Nurse Shark is a bottom dwelling shark which is harmless unless provoked. Nurse Sharks range in size from 2 to 13 feet. They eat bottom dwelling fish, shrimp, squid, octopus, and crabs. Nurse Sharks live in warm shallow waters. They are found in the western Atlantic Ocean.

The Black Tip Reef Shark

The Black Tip Reef Shark has black markings on its fins. This shark can grow to be about six feet long. The Black Tip Reef Shark eats fish. This Shark is not very aggressive but is dangerous to divers.

The Goblin Shark

This Shark is rarely seen. The snout is unusual. It is long, flat, and pointed. The Goblin Shark has soft, pale skin. It is known to be 11 feet long. The Goblin eats fish including other sharks.

The Megamouth Shark

Not much is known about this shark. Only three specimens have been found. The first was discovered by a Navy ship
