Leonardo da Vinci, Mona Lisa, c. 1503-5 (detail)
Oil on Panel, 30 1/4 inches x 21"
Musée du Louvre, Paris

The Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci is one of the world's most famous paintings. Many artists have made copies of it.

For this project you will copy the image of Mona Lisa and use the tools available in Photoshop Elements to transform Mona Lisa. When you get to the larger version of Mona Lisa you will download the image by holding the mouse down on the image. When the option to "copy image" appears select it. Then you will launch Photoshop Elements. In the File menu you will see a "From Clipboard" option. Choose that option and a new file will be created with the image of Mona Lisa. Create a new layer by selecting "New Layer" from the Layer menu. You are now ready to make a contour line copy of Mona Lisa like the image on the left. When your drawing is complete you will make a copy of your drawing and use the painting tools to transform the Mona Lisa.
