The Great Wall
of China

Sicomac School Fourth Grade WEL

To the tune of "Row, Row, Row Your Boat"

The Great Wall of China
By Yan, Zhao, and Qin,
Built of granite, stones, and bricks,
To keep Huns from coming in.

A symbol of China's history,
Spanning over 2,000 years,
6,700 kilometers long,
It blocked out natives' fears.

Ten meters high, five meters wide,
From the moon one sees its view,
Prisoners, soldiers and local folk,
Helped construct it too.

Running from the east to west,
Greatest wonder of them all,
Through grasslands, deserts, mountains too,
We hope it never falls.
