Cheetahs
to the tune of "Row,
Row, Row Your Boat"
Sicomac Fourth Grade
WEL Students
Cheetahs are land animals
Whose fast speed beats them all.
Top speed: 70 miles per hour,
Hisses and chirps are their call.
Big heads would confront the wind,
So their heads are very small.
Cheetahs are 85" long
And 32" tall.
Large livers, lungs and hearts,
For energy and O2,
Specially ridged foot pads
So running's easy to do.
They are uniquely built for speed
And have a springy spine,
Exceptionally long legs,
They eat their preys' behinds.
They devour antelopes,
With their "chase-trip and bite,"
Hunting early in the morning,
So they can rest at night.
Females like to live alone,
Males stay in a group.
Living as long as ten years,
They make an interesting troupe.
