THE AMAZON RAIN FOREST

To the tune of “Yankee Doodle”

By Morgan, Jamie and Stephen

The world's largest rain forest

Is the mighty Amazon.

Five hundred mammals, 300 reptiles,

But soon it might be gone!

The Amazon River flows west to east,

And has fresh water lakes,

Precious stones and treasures,

And useful plants it makes.

The forest floor is a living sponge,

In poor soil plants shouldn't grow.

Howler monkeys, Harpy eagles,

Are never, ever low.

The Amazon is in Brazil,

2.5 Million miles overall.

The river flows 6,000 miles,

With ravishing waterfalls.
