Snow Leopards
to the tune of "Twinkle,
Twinkle Little Star"
Julia and Minsoo
Snow leopards are giant cats.
Poachers change their fur to hats.
Spotted gray, brown and black,
Rough fur's something that they
lack
They can jump to 20 feet,
That's a height that can't be beat.
Leopards live for 15 years,
Humans are their greatest fear.
Their sense of smell is very keen.
Each is a fierce killing machine.
Snow leopards are very rare,
Poaching's obviously not fair.
This leopard's territory's 100 miles
square,
Food is something they rarely share.
It includes sheep and boar,
The snow leopard cannot roar.
Panthera uncia's their science name,
Their fur coat has brought them
fame.
Their habitat is frosty cold,
In the Himalayas they must be bold.
The tail is almost half their length,
They're fifty inches full of strength.
The life of a leopard is not really
bitter,
They have up to four cubs in a litter.
