The Human Brain
by Evan and Jeremy
To the tune of "Twinkle,
Twinkle, Little Star"
Cerebral hemisphere,
corpus collosum,
Thalamus, limbic
system, hippocampus, medulla,
Spinal cord, cortex,
pons.
You have 100 million
neurons.
All these parts
fit in your brain,
In four sections
which are main.
Frontal lobe, parietal,
Occipital, temporal.
Each one has a special
role,
Learning them is
now your goal.
Frontal makes decisions
and plans.
Occipital sees and
scans.
Parietal helps in
school.
Read, write, do
math,
Don't be a fool.
Hearing, memory
and learning is the temporal's job,
It also controls
emotion,
You might smile
or sob.
Chemical messengers
move across the synapse,
These are very tiny
gaps.
The human brain
certainly astounds
And only weighs
.5 pounds.
