Spiders create egg sacks.

Sometimes carried on their backs.

Spider silk they never lack

For spinning lifelines.

Over 30,000 different kinds,

Some aquatic come to mind.

There are also some that mine.

How many can you find?

Females might mistake a guy

For a big juicy fly.

She sheds no tears

 When they slowly die.

Spiders eat things as strange

As birds and small as snakes

And fish from smelly lakes.

They also eat bees.

Funnel-web spiders can hide

In a web that’s outside.

Tarantulas rule with pride

Arachnid spiders are fine.
