The primary objective of the Resource Program Teachers in the Wyckoff Public Schools is to provide specialized instruction to classified students as prescribed in the student's Individualized Educational Plan, commonly known as the IEP.

The Resource Center teachers can work with children within three different programs and educational settings. These programs are referred to in the Wyckoff Public Schools as out-of-class support, in-class support, and subject replacement programs

These various programs provide Resource Center teachers with the flexibility of truly tailor educational programs to fit the needs of the children.

The Resource Program Teachers work toward fostering feelings of self-worth in their students. For a special needs student to succeed, he or she needs encouragement, continuous reinforcement, and a positive attitude that promotes academic success.
