Read to goal.  This is usually about 20 pages.  It depends on the difficulty of the book. 

Starting October 15, the children will be recording about 4 sentences on the pages they read at night.  Beginning October17, those sentences will be recorded in the marble composition book.  The composition book will live in the reading section of the expandable folder.  They will need the composition book both at home and in school.

Beginning November 3, the children will also record 3 new words they meet while reading each night.

In the Wordly Wise book, the children have highlighted  each word, definition, and sentence in the lesson.  They will need to know the highlighted parts for each word for a quiz they will take daily.

We will begin a new spelling program after Thanksgiving.

Math

4R math class should be practicing math facts every night.

The nightly assignment will be in the assignment books.
