A big THANK -YOU to the class mothers who helped make our last Art Appreciation Day here at Washington a fun and memorable one!  For a week we collected all types of recyclable materials, everything from water bottles to buttons.  Our morning started off by listening to an architectect who specializes in the art of designing and building with environmentally-friendly materials.  We learned a lot of interesting facts about how to make our own homes more "green".  After the presentation we went back to our classrooms to build model replicas of our bedrooms using the environmentally-friendly materials we'd brought in.  It was a wonderful day and thanks again to everyone who volunteered their time and made this day possible!
