Fifth grade students continue to build upon on previously learned information. The Total Physical Response Storytelling method (TRPS) used to teach Spanish ensures success in conversation and comprehension, while at the same time, provides long-term retention of vocabulary

The students learn prescribed vocabulary through mini-stories and then they are able to give their own interpretations. They also enjoy acting out the stories.

Spanish will be integrated into some of the subject areas. Students will expand their vocabulary making connections in their subject area.

Students meet once a week for forty five minutes.
